Similar to most countries outside of India, universities in New Zealand have two major intakes, which are also known as semesters.
ITP’s and private institutes have different intakes for different courses. These are also known as rolling intakes and take place throughout the year.
Semester 1 | February to June |
Semester 2 | July to November |
New Zealand universities have no deadlines as such but students are recommended to apply as early as possible. Universities have different intake capacities for different terms so the bigger intakes will increase your chances of acceptance than a smaller intake.
To Choose the correct intake a student should consider factors including course preferences and choice of university. If your academic scores have not yet come in students who have applied can defer to the next intake.
